It could probably use a professional cleaning, but overall, it is in good condition for its age. There are very minimal dents and scratches on the trumpet. The slides also have some cosmetic wear (tarnish) as seen in the photos, but they are still in working condition. It has been sitting for a while, so there trumpet has some tarnish on the outside but overall is in good condition for how old it is. The trumpet is used and does have wear from old age and previous use. Included with it is a hard case, two mouth pieces, mutes and some oils for the slides. The serial number on the trumpet is SK34104. It is silver plated and has mother of pearl keys. I was born in 1958 and this model (from what I can tell) was manufactured approx.The item for sale today is a Beautiful Vintage Getzen Trumpet. One is from the 70’s and one was from about 10 years ago that has much larger Vincent Bach lettering on it.

Considering your horns serial number being within a couple of thousand within the 1965 and 30,000 start of production, I’d say that you are the owner of a horn that was made with an extraordinary level of pride or care.Ĭongratulations. My guess is that yours was produced late ’65 or sometime ’66, but not 1964. The factory shop card indicated that it’s production date is April 15, 1965.
